Have you ever touched a nice hand thrown ceramic coffee cup with a nice surface and glaze while enjoying your morning coffee? If not you really should. This is how we found our weakness for nice decorative objects and interior accessoires.

With polypasta we want to create a huge libary of 3D scanned objects that we can on the one hand use for our own projects and as a service for our clients to get the most detailed objects for their projects possible.
On the other hand we want to give something to other 3D artists, designers and studios that they can use. Therefore we set up the growing asset store www.polypasta.com

To create these objects we use a technique called “photogrammetry” that creates details from hundreds (yes hundreds) of single photos for one object. For the library we are always looking around for new objects that we love to use decorating interior renderings or filling up product visualisations with natural assets. The benefit from using scanned objects is that they have the real touch. You can capture details, irragularities, surface scratches and other properties of an object in comparison to modelling an object by hand.

We already have more then 120 scans for your delicious CGI projects and we use it on a daily basis for our own 3D renderings.

What is possible to scan?
Decorative objects, food elements, textures, fabrics and even complete furniture is possible.

You have an idea for some photogrammetry action?
